Flowers are 8 - 10 mm in diameter, with mild fragrance. Flowers are borne on clusters, 4 - 5 cm in diameter, with each cluster having 20 - 40 flowers, held by 1 -3 cm peduncle. Flowers are pale yellow to brownish gold to cream.

Leaves are fleshy, glossy and ovate to oblong-ovate or obovate, to 3 inches long, short-acuminate. Leaf arrangement is opposite with leaves occuring in pairs
Flowers are typically light pink, but may vary from near-white to dark pink; they are star-shaped, and are borne in clusters that look like tiny wax miniatures. The surface of the flowers is covered in tiny hairs giving them a fuzzy sheen. They are heavily scented and may produce excess nectar that drips from the flowers. The flower crown has a diameter of 1.5 to 2 cm and is whitish to slightly pink coloured.
