TIPS
What do I know if my Venus Flytrap is getting enough sunlight?
The leaves to become weak and floppy, and the interior of the trap loses its red coloration.
How to prevent the rhizome and/or roots from overheating?
Keep your Venus flytrap well-insulated by growingo it in a larger pot with lots of growing medium.
How to water properly?
Avoid top watering as it can lead to crown rot. Instead, let it sit in a tray or saucer or similar container of water so that it draws up the water from the drainage hole at the bottom of the pot.
What should I use for the growing medium and how to to pack them?
Premium long-fibered sphagnum moss helps your Venus flytrap grow faster. Keep the growing medium around the plant just moderately bouncy and not packed in tight. Refresh or repot the long-fibered sphagnum moss every 6 months or so.
Do I need to feed my Venus Flytrap?
You do NOT need to feed your Venus flytrap. They get enough food from photosynthesis.
Can I grow it in a terrarium under artificial lighting?
Not encouraged as it could lead to death and rot as there is no outdoors UV rays from sunlight, no air movement, over-watering, over-humidity.
